Heather

Heather was glad to get outside after doing chores all day...

The dirt felt so good under her bare feet...
She let her bonnet slip off her head and hang down her
back. The sun warmed her face...

She twirled and spun in circles until she got dizzy...
And flopped down onto the grass to watch the clouds...

As she sat up, her braids slipped over her shoulders and her bonnet slipped back over her head. She wrote her name in the dirt with a stick. Heather

She decided spring was her favorite season
